Disclaimers

1.Non-Discriminatory Policy

St. Agnes School, mindful of its mission to be a witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students regardless of race, color, national origin, and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, medical condition, sex, or national and/or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies and practices, scholarship programs and other school-administered programs.
While the school does not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them. Decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student in the school are based upon the student’s emotional, academic, and physical abilities and the resources available to the school in meeting the student’s needs.

2. Federal Lunch Program

In accordance with Federal law and the U.S. Department of Agriculture(USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, and reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Personas with disabilities who require others means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, and American Sign Language) should contact the responsible State or local Agency that administers the program or USDA’s TARGET Center at (202)720-2600.

3. Asbestos Notification

The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), a provision of the Toxic Substances Control Act, was passed by Congress in 1986.  AHERA requires local educational agencies to inspect their schools for asbestos-containing building material and prepare management plans that make recommendations for the reduction of asbestos hazards.

In accordance with the requirements of AHERA, St. Agnes Catholic School is notifying all employees, building occupants, and their legal guardians of the availability of the AHERA management plan for public review. The AHERA Management Plan contains documentation of the initial AHERA inspection, 6 month periodic surveillances, triennial re-inspections, employee training, and the Operations and Maintenance procedures. Questions regarding the AHERA Management Plan or this notice should be directed to St. Agnes School Office, (308)632-6918.
